In 2014 domestic gaming become a regulated industry in The Bahamas and in the four short years since then, the industry has emerged as a major contributor to economic activity throughout the country and today employs 2,753 Bahamas citizens.1 Moreover, nearly 800 (or nearly one third) of these positions are in the Family Islands where employment opportunities are often limited.
